Entry Information

This event provides an opportunity for Canadian crafts people to show and sell their crafts.
 
  • Each entry must comply with hand crafted products created by the exhibitor themselves.
  • Commercial products including craft related ones and second hand articles are prohibited.
  • Edible products on the individual variety tables are prohibited. We reserve food items for only those specialty and local organizations bake tables.
 
Display space is available at a rate of $8.00/foot. All spaces have a depth of 8 feet. Spaces are available with or without a table. Our tables measure 8 feet x 32 inches. Additional tables are available at a fee of $5.00 each. Electrical hook-ups are available for extra lighting and demonstrating purposes at an additional fee of $5.00.
 
  • We will provide an identification sign for each entry. If you wish to bring a larger, more visible sign to indicate who you are, please do so.
  • Please bring your own electrical cords and whatever else you may require.
  • Unfortunately, we are unable to supply chairs: please remember to bring your own.
  • Use of the Plexiglas for hanging purposes is prohibited. If you wish to hang your articles for display, please provide your own freestanding pegboard or rack as long as it will fit in the 5 foot walking area behind your table.
  • We also suggest warm clothing and footwear, particularly if the weather is chilly..
 
All entries must be received by April 30th. Late entries will be placed on our waiting list for consideration should there be a cancellation.Photographs of crafts are compulsory for all new entrants as well as previous exhibitors with a new product. Please enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope so we may return your photos. The total fee is required with the entry. Please make your cheque payable to Carnival of Crafts. NSF cheques are subject to a $20.00 charge. Our overall space is limited and your requests may be reduced at the committee's discretion. We reserve the right to limit the number of duplicate craft tables and where they are located in order to provide a balance to the show.
 
Final entry selections will be made in the first week of May and you will be notified by May 30th.
 
Entries not selected will be placed on the waiting list. If your entry has been selected and at a later date, you find that you are unable to attend, please notify Betty Mayes at 204-634-2482 or anyone of the committee members as soon as possible.
 
** Cancellations received prior to September 1st will be refunded one-half of the entry fee.
 
Exhibit space shall not be sublet, traded or sold without the approval of the Carnival of Crafts committee.
 
On Carnival day, volunteers will be on hand to direct you to your unloading zone as well as assist you with unloading and parking. The arena will be open to exhibitors from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for setting up displays with the CRAFT SALE BEGINNING AT 11:30 a.m. DST. We will reserve your table until 10:30 a.m. After that time the vacancy will be made available to another who may be waiting. If unavoidable circumstances arise that morning, please contact us at the Edward Sports Centre (204-634-2241).
 
We will provide free coffee to exhibitors from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and the Arena will be operating a lunch booth throughout the day.
 
The exhibitor is responsible for obtaining any insurance related to his/her participation and requirements or his/her exhibits in the show. Neither the show, nor their officers, nor agents will be held responsible or liable for any matter of loss or damage that may occur to property or persons during times of move in, show and/or move out.
 
Please note that under provincial law, a municipal lottery license must be obtained to hold a raffle and a license number must appear on the draw box. Only charitable organizations are permitted to obtain a municipal lottery license.
 
There is a door admission for non-exhibitors. Exhibitors who would like to enter the door prize draws are required to pay the regular admission fee.
 
Over the years, we have been pleased to have a number of our exhibitors donate items for our door prizes. If you are interested in donating a door prize, please indicate this on your entry.
